OnePlus 8’s next sale in India will take place at 12pm on June 4th

OnePlus recently announced that due to unforeseen circumstances and production issues, the open sales of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in India have been delayed. These smartphones were earlier expected to go on sale starting May 29th on Amazon and OnePlus’ official online store. Instead the brand held a limited period special sale of the standard OnePlus 8 today.

While the first special sale of the OnePlus 8 is over, the brand has announced the next sale date of the smartphone in the country. However, there’s still no announcement regarding the Pro variant.

The dedicated sale page of the OnePlus 8 on Amazon has been changed to reflect the new sale date of the smartphone in India. According to the e-commerce website, the OnePlus 8 will go on sale next on June 4th at 12pm. The sale offers remain the same as the first time, including Rs 2,000 off on SBI card purchases, Reliance Jio benefits worth Rs 6,000, six free audiobooks from Audible and more.

To recap, the OnePlus 8 is being offered in three configurations in India – 6GB + 128G, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. These configurations have been priced at Rs 41,999, Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999, respectively.

OnePlus 8 specifications and features

The OnePlus 8 ships with a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display offering 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with the X55 5G modem. Software-wise, the phone boots OxygenOS based on Android 10 and is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T.

Coming to cameras, the OnePlus 8 comes with a 48MP Sony IMX586 f/1.7 primary sensor backed by a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. There is a 16MP f/2.45 sensor sitting in a punch-hole cutout in the display for selfies and video calling. Other features include in-display fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 6, and more.
