OnePlus 8 Pro official renders leaked, new ‘Ultramarine Blue’ colour variant revealed

A few days ago, we saw leaked official renders of the OnePlus 8, which revealed that the phone will come in a stunning Interstellar Glow colour edition, apart from other hues such as Onyx Black and Glacial Green. Today, has carried a new report to reveal the official renders of the more powerful OnePlus 8 Pro, ahead of the April 14th launch. Like the vanilla model, the Pro variant will also be launched in three colours – Onyx Black, Glacial Green and a new Ultramarine Blue.

The official renders show the three above mentioned colours variants of the OnePlus 8 Pro. The Ultramarine Blue variant features a dark blue pigment with a tint of purple. Unfortunately, the Pro version doesn’t come in the Interstellar Glow hue, however the other two variants are in common with the OnePlus 8.

In terms of design, the OnePlus 8 Pro features a punch-hole display like the OnePlus 8. However, the latter has a flat display panel, while the display of the Pro model curves towards the left and right edges. There is a vertical camera setup on the rear side of the device which houses three cameras. There is a fourth lens on the left of the camera module, along with an elongated strip that seems to be equipped with laser autofocus module and dual LED flash. The OnePlus 8 Pro will be the company’s first IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant smartphone.

By now, most of the specifications of the OnePlus 8 Pro have been confirmed by various reputable sources. It will be fitted with a 6.78-inch S-AMOLED display with quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The punch-hole on the screen is home to its 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The quad camera system of the OnePlus 8 Pro features a Sony IMX689 48-megapixel main sensor with f/1.78 aperture, a 120-degreee Sony IMX586 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor with f/2/2 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter with f/2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom support and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.

The Chinese firm has already confirmed that OnePlus 8 series will come with Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage. The OnePlus 8 Pro will come in 8GB and 12GB RAM versions and storage choices of 128GB and 256GB.

The report has no information on its battery and charging capabilities. However, a recent leak had revealed that it has a 4,510mAh battery and it supports 30W wired charging, 30W fast wireless charging and 3W reverse charging. There is no information on its pricing and availability. It will run on Oxygen OS based Android 10 OS. Lastly, it will be equipped with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
