In collaboration with the reliable gadget tipster @OnLeaks, the folks over at 91mobiles have given us an early look at the OnePlus 8 Pro in the form of the renders and a 360-degree video. In addition, the source has also revealed a few details regarding the specs of the device.
OnePlus 8 Pro renders
As you can see from the images, the OnePlus 8 Pro will be the first smartphone from the brand to flaunt a quad-camera setup at the rear. While the OnePlus 7 and 7T series feature either waterdrop notches or pop-up mechanism for the selfie cameras, the OnePlus 8 series will have a hole in the screen to house the same. This will make the OnePlus 8 series to be the first phones from the brand to feature a punch-hole display.
The photos suggest that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have considerably slimmer bezels than its predecessors. The phone’s screen will be curved on both sides. Talking about the rear design, the OnePlus 8 Pro is tipped to offer a vertically-aligned triple camera system in the middle. On the left of this module, there will be a 3D ToF camera, apart from some other sensors. The LED flash will be placed below the camera module, alongside the OnePlus logo.
Other details revealed by the photos suggest that the OnePlus 8 pro’s alert slider and power button will be placed on the right side, while the volume rocker will be on the left. At the bottom, there will be a USB Type-C port and a redesigned speaker grille, while on the top, there will be a hole for the microphone. Specs-wise, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a 6.65-inch display of unknown resolution, and its dimensions will be 165.3x 74.4 x 8.8mm, added the source. If you include the camera bump, the thickness of the handset will be 10.8mm.
No other details about the specifications of the OnePlus 8 series are available at the moment. However, we can expect it to be powered by Qualcomm’s next-gen flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865, which could be unveiled in December 2019. Also, while the OnePlus 7T doesn’t feature 5G connectivity, we can expect the OnePlus 8 series to flaunt support for the next-gen networks.
