OnePlus is all set to introduce its latest flagship smartphones called the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro at an event in either late March or in early April. Ahead of the launch, the renders of these devices have already been leaked several times, which revealed everything we need to know about their design. In addition, multiple key specifications of these devices were also leaked earlier. Now, some core features of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have surfaced on the interwebs again. Additionally, a purported photo of the OnePlus 8’s screen has been leaked again.
OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro specifications and features
The new leak has reaffirmed some of the earlier leaked specs of the OnePlus 8 series. As expected, the leak suggests that the OnePlus 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865, and boot Android 10 out of the box. The source suggests that the handset will come with 8GB of RAM, which will be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. However, we can expect one more higher-end model of the device with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of native storage.
Furthermore, the latest OnePlus 8 Pro leak suggests that the handset will flaunt a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a massive screen refresh rate of 120Hz. Lastly, the new leak indicates that the device will be powered by a 4,500mAh battery, which will come with 50W fast charging support.
As for the OnePlus 8, the alleged live image of the handset shows the ‘About phone’ screen in the settings menu. The photo shows that the handset will have a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED screen with a 90Hz screen refresh rate. At the rear, the phone will have a 48MP primary camera on the back, which will be paired with a 16MP secondary snapper and a 2MP third sensor. Just like the earlier leaks, the newly leaked image also shows a punch-hole in the top-left corner of the screen.
According to the earlier reports, the OnePlus 8 series will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. One of the variants in the series will have support for 5G connectivity. The company will also launch an affordable model in the series called the OnePlus 8 Lite.
