Earlier this month, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8T 5G in India. Compared to the OnePlus 8 series, the latest offering features a redesigned camera module and a 65W fast charging tech. Now, OnePlus has partnered with game developer CD Projekt for the Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition variant of the OnePlus 8T.
For those unaware, Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming action role-playing game for Windows, Google Stadia, Playstation and Xbox. OnePlus took to Weibo to announce that OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition will launch on November 2nd.
The Weibo poster reveals the upcoming limited edition smartphone with yellow colour accents on the edges and a textured grey back panel. It is in line with the theme of the upcoming game. The smartphone could also come with yellow power/volume buttons. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also shared a teaser of the upcoming offering that showed a wider rectangular camera module with a Cyberpunk 2077 logo printed on it.
The OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition will likely ship with a custom pre-installed theme based on the upcoming game. The smartphone may also come with a special retail box along with accessories like covers, charging cable and adapter. The limited-edition device is launching in China and there’s no word if it will be available in other regions. We will know more details on Monday.
OnePlus 8T 5G specifications and features
The OnePlus 8T 5G features a 6.5-inch flat AMOLED display bearing FHD+ resolution. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate screen and HDR10+ support. The smartphone comes with quad-cameras consisting of a 48MP main sensor, 16MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro and 2MP monochrome unit. On the front, the device features a 16MP selfie snapper.
The OnePlus 8T 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 865 SoC with integrated X55 5G modem. It is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with 65W fast charging support. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and offers connectivity options like USB-C port, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band GPS etc.
