OnePlus has officially announced most display specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 8T 5G flagship. In a press release, the brand confirmed that the OnePlus 8T’s display will feature a 120Hz refresh rate, which the brand introduced on the OnePlus 8 Pro (review) earlier this year. The OnePlus 8 featured a 90Hz screen, so we can assume that all flagship phones from the brand will adopt the higher refresh rate going forward.
In addition, the display will feature a 240Hz touch sampling rate and reduced latency. OnePlus says it has used up to 142 software optimisations to provide a smoother experience on the phone. The display will be a flat panel with 2.5D glass, and feature full HD_ resolution. OnePlus also confirms that the 8T 5G has earned an A+ display rating from DisplayMate.

The OnePlus 8T is launching in India on October 14th
Additonally, the screen features a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour space and HDR10+ support. The flicker-detect sensor from the OnePlus 8 Pro has also made its way to the OnePlus 8T 5G.
Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus said, “We’ve pushed the refresh rate to 120Hz for an even smoother display experience for our ultra premium flagship OnePlus 8 Pro earlier this year. We were happy to see that it was widely received by our users. With technology evolving and manufacturing technology improving, we are able to bring 120Hz to a wider range of our products, providing the best-in-class display technology and experience to even more people.”
