OnePlus 8T 5G is launching in India on October 14th, will ship with Android 11

OnePlus has officially confirmed that its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 8T 5G, wil be launched on October 14th. The launch event will be streamed online at 7.30pm IST. OnePlus’ website also hints that the device will ship with Android 11 out of the box.

Amazon availability of the device has also been confirmed, where the device is currently listed with a ‘Notify Me’ banner. Pop-up events are on the cards as well, although details surrounding those will be revealed later.

Pete Lau, CEO and Founder of OnePlus stated that “With the upcoming OnePlus 8T, we are once again raising the bar for ourselves in terms of the overall user experience, thanks to some new features that we are excited to introduce for the first time in a OnePlus device. I am confident that the OnePlus 8T will once again exceed expectations and deliver an unparalleled flagship experience,” hinting at several new features.

The OnePlus 8T will be the brand’s first phone with 65W fast charging

Pricebaba recently leaked exclusive high-resolution renders and the complete specifications of the OnePlus 8T in association with OnLeaks. The phone will be the first from the brand to feature 65W fast charging, and will also sport an all-new rectangular camera module.

The phone will feature a 6.55-inch display with full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel is flat with a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner. The processor is expected to be a Snapdragon 865/865+, with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The rear quad cameras will include a 48MP primary snapper, 16MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro and 2MP sensors. The front camera on the other hand could be a 32MP sensor.

The OnePlus 8T will feature a 4,500mAh battery, with the faster charging standard as mentioned above. It will ship with OxygenOS 11 out of the box, based on Android 11.
