OnePlus follows the tradition of launching its ‘T’ series smartphones around October every year. Now, reliable tipster Ishan Agarwal along with MySmartPrice have revealed that the brand is set to unveil the OnePlus 8T on October 14th. The launch event will be held online and it might be similar to the OnePlus Nord AR event. Agarwal also hints at the possibility of last-minute changes in the launch timeline.
To recall, the OnePlus 7T (review) was launched in September last year. This year, OnePlus is expected to skip the OnePlus 8T Pro and launch only the OnePlus 8T.
OnePlus 8T specifications and features (expected)
Recently, PriceBaba had brought you exclusive renders and the complete specifications of the OnePlus 8T. The upcoming OnePlus 8T will reportedly feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ display and an upgraded 120Hz refresh rate screen compared to the OnePlus 8. The device will retail the punch-hole camera cutout at the top left corner. As seen in the renders, the upcoming smartphone will sport a rectangular camera module at the back with an L-shaped sensor alignment. The power button and alert slider are on the right while the volume rocker is located on the left side.
The camera module is expected to house four sensors comprising a 48MP primary unit, 16MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro and 2MP portrait shooter. In the front, the device will likely feature an upgraded 32MP selfie snapper.
Internally, the OnePlus 8T is rumoured to be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 or 865+ processor. It will pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The OnePlys 8T may be powered by a 4,500mAh battery unit with 65W Warp Charge compared to 30W charging on the previous models. The smartphone will feature a USB-C port at the bottom along with a loudspeaker grill.
