The OnePlus 9 Pro is confirmed to support 50W wireless charging. This will be possible with the new Warp Charge 50 Wireless charging solution. The charging speed is a big upgrade over the OnePlus 8 Pro which supported 30W wireless charging.

The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are also confirmed to come with 65W wired charging. Warp Charge 65T had debuted on the OnePlus 8T. OnePlus revealed the details of its new charging solution in an official post.

The Warp Charge 50 Wireless charger will let users charge the OnePlus 9 Pro in vertical or horizontal orientation
OnePlus says that it is narrowing the gap between wired and wireless charging. The brand claims that the new 50W wireless charging will top up the phone’s battery from zero to 100 percent in exactly 43 minutes.
The OnePlus 9 series uses a dual-cell battery with each cell being charged at 25W speed. It also aids in producing less heat during charging. OnePlus has also increased the coil thickness inside the phone and equipped the Pro variant with a large vapour chamber for heat dissipation during gaming and fast charging.
OnePlus is also adopting a new design for the Warp Charge 50 Wireless. It is equipped with two coils, one at the top and another at the bottom. This will allow the user to place the phone vertically or horizontally on the charging dock. The horizontal orientation also makes it convenient to watch videos during charging. The new charger also supports a detachable cable that will let users plug in the red cable that comes bundled with the OnePlus 9 series.
It’s worth noting that the OnePlus 9 Pro will support 50W fast wireless charging only with the brand’s Warp Charge 50 Wireless charger. The standard OnePlus 9 will also be the first non-pro variant to support fast charging, although the speed will max out at 15W. Both the smartphones are Qi-compatible at up to 15W.
Additionally, the OnePlus 9 series now features Warp Charge 65T compared to 30W charging on the OnePlus 8 series. It will take 39 minutes to go from zero to 100 percent battery levels.
