OnePlus 9 Series is set to launch soon and OnePlus is working on its next flagship smartphone lineup. This year, OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in April. Rumours have it that the OnePlus 9 series may break cover a month earlier in March. Last week, 91mobiles had shared the CAD renders of the OnePlus 9. The renders had revealed that the OnePlus 9 has a flat display and a rectangle-shaped camera module for its triple rear shooters. However, reliable tipster Max J claimed that the leak was inaccurate.
Now, popular tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has released the CAD renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro. The renders show that its front design will be almost the same as the OnePlus 8 series and its rear appearance will be a mix of the OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8 Pro.
OnePlus 9 Pro CAD renders
The leak reveals that the OnePlus 9 Pro will be sporting a 6.7-inch display. As the renders show, the left and right edges of the screen are curved. A punch-hole for the selfie camera can be seen at the upper-left corner of the screen.
Moving to the edges of the OnePlus 9 Pro, it has the Alert Slider and power button on the right and the volume rocker on the left. The upper and lower sides of the phone are not visible in the renders. However, the tipster has mentioned that the speakers are placed on the bottom edge of the device.
The rear side of the OnePlus 9 Pro is made from glass and it is fitted with a large-sized rectangle camera housing that has four cameras, a microphone, and an LED flash. He added that two of the four camera sensors have huge metal rings around their circumference. The CAD renders are based on the latest prototype of the device. Hence, the final design of the camera module and other design elements may change on the final product. The tipster did not reveal any other information on the specs of the OnePlus 9 Pro.
The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are likely to be driven by the upcoming Snapdragon 875 chipset. The tipster claimed that the OnePlus 9 series will indeed go official in March 2021.
