Tomorrow, OnePlus will be taking the covers off the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones at 7.30pm in India. Apart from launching the OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro, the company will also announce the OnePlus Watch as its first smartwatch.

OnePlus 9R with gaming triggers teased

Last week, Pricebaba exclusively reported that the company will launch gaming triggers at tomorrow’s event. The first teaser of the OnePlus 9R 5G seems to suggest that the brand may offer gaming triggers for the OnePlus 9R, in line with the device being a gaming-focused smartphone.

OnePlus 9R 5G specifications and features (expected)

OnePlus is yet to divulge any information on the specs of the OnePlus 9R 5G. It could be the same handset that was previously rumoured to arrive as the OnePlus 9 Lite.

In December 2020, Android Central reported that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, a chipset that fuelled most Android flagship phones last year. The report also claimed that it could be equipped with a 90Hz or a 120Hz display and it may carry support for 65W fast charging.

The handset may feature the same camera optics that was made available on the OnePlus 8T. Hence, it may feature a 48-megapixel primary, a 16-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In a bid to differentiate it from the OnePlus 8T, it may feature a plastic rear with a mainstream design.
