OnePlus has finally started teasing the arrival of the OnePlus Band fitness tracker in India. Through a new tweet, the company confirmed that it will be announcing a new device that will assist users in achieving fitness goals. The microsite for the company’s first fitness band is now live on OnePlus India’s website and Amazon.

These listings do not explicitly mention the name of the device. However, reliable tipsters Mukul Sharma and Ishan Agarwal have not only claimed that the brand will be launching as OnePlus Band, but have also revealed its specifications, pricing, and images.

 

The official listing on OnePlus’ website states that the company will be running a quiz every day before the official announcement. The winners of the quiz will be announced in a few days’ time.

OnePlus has started the arrival of its first fitness tracker

Last week, tipster Mukul Sharma had posted the full specifications of the OnePlus Band. The leak revealed that the OnePlus fitness tracker will be equipped with a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display and a 100mAh battery. The smartband is expected to last for 14 days on a single charge.

For connectivity, it may come with Bluetooth 5.0 support. The device will be compatible with Android devices running on Android 6.0 or higher. The company is likely to add support for iOS devices soon after the launch through a firmware update.

For tracking health, the OnePlus Band will come with support for 24/7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 blood oxygen saturation tracker, and sleep tracker. It will arrive with other sensors like a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, but may not come with GPS support. The fitness band will be able to track 13 kinds of exercises. The OnePlus Band will come with 5ATM and IP68 rated dust and water resistance. Shown above are the new images of the OnePlus Band shared by Sharma.

Previous leaks revealed that the OnePlus Band will go up against the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 as it could be priced under Rs 3,000 at launch. Fresh information shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal that the OnePlus Band will debut on January 11th with a pricing of Rs 2,499.

In related news, OnePlus is also working on the launch of its first smartwatch. The alleged OnePlus Watch is expected to launch in Q1 this year.
