Along with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 at the Cloud 11 launch event from OnePlus, the company also silently launched a lite version of its flagship TWS, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2R.
The company mentioned in the launch event that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2R would be available in March. Now, OnePlus Buds Pro 2R Is up for pre-orders.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2R: Pricing and Availability
OnePlus Buds Pro 2R is priced at Rs 9,999 in India. It is available to pre-order from the OnePlus website from March 7 to March 13 by paying the full amount for the buds. It will be available to purchase from March 14 in an open sale.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2R: How Is It Different From OnePlus Buds Pro 2?
OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2R are identical, barring two key features.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2R doesn’t support six-axis IMU head tracking for spatial audio. It also doesn’t come with support for wireless charging.
Other features and hardware are the same in OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2R.
Buds Pro 2R has the same 11mm + 6mm MelodyBoost Dual Drivers co-created with Dynaudio. It also comes with the same 48dB adaptive noise cancelling.
The buds support 39 hours of Playback and have support for fast charging, which gives 10 hours of playing time in 10 minutes.
These buds also come with Hi-res wireless certification, and OnePlus promises a future OTA update to support LHDC.
Both OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2R offer the same sound quality and noise cancellation, just that the 2R doesn’t come with advanced spatial audio features and wireless charging. If you’re not into these two fancy features, OnePlus Buds Pro 2R can save Rs 2,000 over Buds Pro 2.
