The OnePlus Buds Z2 retain the same design as their predecessor but they also come with significant upgrades. Prior to launch, the brand had teased a few key specifications of the latest TWS earphones. The audio device comes with low latency, better battery life, transparency mode and more. OnePlus Buds Z2 specifications and features
The OnePlus Buds Z2 retain the same design as the Buds Z with a long stem and a CD-like touch surface for controlling various tasks. The earbuds come with slightly angled silicone ear tips for a better and more comfortable fit. The earphones are IP55 certified sweat and water-resistant.
On the audio front, the OnePlus Buds Z2 are equipped with an 11mm driver and three microphones that offer better active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 40dB. The TWS earbuds come with a 94ms latency which is a big upgrade from 103ms on the first-generation Buds Z. The Buds Z2 also feature a transparency mode.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 come with pill-shaped storage and charging case that is similar to the original Buds Z. They house a 520mAh battery unit and a USB-C port for fast charging. Each earbud is backed by a 40mAh battery cell and along with the case, the TWS earphones are claimed to offer 38 hours of usage.
Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus Buds Z2 come with Bluetooth 5.2 support. Smartphones running ColorOS 12 get Dolby Atmos support. The TWS earphones come with various other features including voice assistant, wearing detection, earplug fit, and more.
OnePlus Buds Z2 price and availability
The OnePlus Buds Z2 is priced at RMB 499 (~Rs 5,835) and offered in Night Black and Day White colours. The earphones will be available for purchase in China through JD.com and Suning from today with sales commencing from October 19th.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 are expected to debut in India alongside the OnePlus 9RT in India later this month.
