OnePlus Buds Z2 have been spotted in leaked renders shared by 91mobiles in collaboration with reliable industry tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer aka Onleaks. The renders give us a first look at the TWS earphones.
The report adds that the renders are said to be based on real-life pictures so it could be the final design of the brand’s upcoming audio offering. The OnePlus Buds Z2 will launch as the successor to last year’s OnePlus Buds Z (review). The company could launch the device next month.
OnePlus Buds Z2 leaked renders reveal design
As seen in the renders, the OnePlus Buds Z2 look similar to the original OnePlus Z. They retain a stem design with a circular touch surface that looks like a disk. The upcoming offering features silicone ear tips that are slightly angled for a better fit compared to its predecessor. The OnePlus Buds Z2 have multiple cutouts on each earbud that could house various sensors for automatic wear detection, noise elimination, and the microphone.
The OnePlus Buds Z2 also come with the same pill-shaped charging case like the first-generation Buds Z. There is a brand logo on the top of the case and an LED light on the front. The case features a USB-C port that is slightly less wide compared to the current offering. The TWS earphones are seen in a white colour, but we can expect more options at the launch.
The audio-related information of the OnePlus Buds Z2 remains a mystery. We can expect the upcoming offering to come with upgrades over its predecessor. As per past reports, the OnePlus Buds Z2 are slated to launch in October alongside the OnePlus 9RT.
