Alongside the launch of the OnePlus 8 series, the brand is also expected to announce more products, including new earbuds dubbed as the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. The smartphone maker had recently teased a new pair of earphones on its Twitter handle. Yesterday we had reported that the Bullets Wireless Z may not be truly wireless earbuds. Now reliable tipster Evan Blass has shared new renders on his Patreon page revealing the upcoming earphones. Past reports and rumours have indicated that OnePlus might be launching its first pair of true wireless earbuds, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a while longer for those.
The renders shared by Blass reveal that the earbuds are still connected by a cable. It turns out that they won’t be truly wireless at all. The design is nearly identical to the OnePlus Bullet Wireless 2 with the only difference in colour options. The upcoming Bullets Wireless Z may be offered in four different paint jobs including green, blue, black and white. Apart from this, there is no further information on the specifications of the Bullets Wireless Z.
OnePlus has been launching Bullets wireless earphones alongside its smartphones for some time now. The earphones feature a wireless neckband style design with the battery and components resting on the neck and earbuds attached with a cable. Compared to last year’s Bullets Wireless 2, the next generation earphones are expected to come with powerful drivers, better tuning, higher battery capacity and an overall premium build. They are also rumoured to be equipped with an active noise cancellation feature.
OnePlus hasn’t revealed anything about its upcoming Bullets Wireless Z earphones yet. It’s unknown whether the brand will announce the product alongside OnePlus 8 series, or at a later date.
