OnePlus Clover budget phone with Snapdragon 460 and 6,000mAh battery to reportedly launch soon

After the launch of the OnePlus X mid-range phone in 2015, OnePlus once again returned to this segment with the launch of the OnePlus Nord this year. The handset that is currently selling with a starting price of Rs. 27,999 in India. Now, reports have revealed that OnePlus may launch even cheaper phones soon.

A report on Android Central has revealed the main specifications of a mysterious OnePlus phone that is codenamed OnePlus Clover. The final product name of the device is not known yet, and it is unclear whether it will carry Nord branding. The leaked specifications suggests that it could be arriving as the cheapest OnePlus smartphone.

The OnePlus Clover is expected to arrive with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD screen that will produce 720 x 1,600 pixels HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 460 mobile platform will be driving the smartphone with 4GB of RAM. It will come with built-in storage of 64GB and a microSD card slot for expanding the storage further.

The phone will run Android 10 with OxygenOS 10 on top. The handset will house a massive battery of 6,000mAh capacity and it will carry support for 18W fast charging.

There is no word on the front camera of OnePlus Clover. As far as its rear camera setup is concerned, it will be fitted with a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture and two 2-megapixel cameras with f/2.4 aperture. The other features that will be available on the device include a rear-facing fingerprint reader, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Few weeks ago, a reliable tipster had shared a video of the upcoming mid-range phones from OnePlus. It showcased a phone dubbed as ‘Aurora’ in dual camera and triple camera variants. It appears that the triple camera showcased in the video could be the mysterious OnePlus Clover.

As per Android Central, the OnePlus Clover phone will be releasing soon in the global markets including the US. It could be priced around $200 (~Rs 14,500).
