[Exclusive] OnePlus Fold launch in first half of August, launch event venue, target markets revealed

OnePlus Fold launch date is fast approaching. To recall, during the OnePlus 11 launch event, which was held in February this year, OnePlus confirmed that it would announce its first foldable phone in the third quarter of this year. Since the final marketing name of the device is yet to be officially confirmed, it is being tentatively called the OnePlus Fold.

In today’s leak, we at Pricebaba have obtained exclusive information on the launch timeframe of the OnePlus Fold from tipster Yogesh Brar. In addition, he has revealed the OnePlus Fold launch event venue and the markets that will be receiving it.

Brar disclosed that the OnePlus Fold is set to be announced during the first half of August, with the launch event scheduled to take place in New York. The device will have a global rollout, encompassing markets such as the United States and India. Although the tipster has previously provided substantial information regarding the specifications and design of the OnePlus Fold, today’s leak does not contain any new details pertaining to these aspects of the device.

OPPO is expected to launch the OPPO Find N3 in August in China. It is said that the device could be heading to markets outside of China as a OnePlus device. As per reports, the OnePlus Fold will have an 8-inch foldable OLED screen that offers a QHD+ resolution and a 6.5-inch cover OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. Both screens will support a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the OnePlus Fold will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 native storage. It will run on Android 13 OS and OxygenOS 13.1 and pack a 4,800mAh battery with 80W charging.

For selfies, it will have a 32-megapixel camera on the cover display and another 32-megapixel camera on the inner screen. The rear camera setup of the device will feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide snapper, and a 32-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
