OnePlus will unveil its first fitness band in India this month. Over the past few days, the brand has been teasing key features of its upcoming OnePlus Band. Shopping portal Amazon has also put up a microsite for the fitness device.
Now ahead of the launch, the OnePlus Health app has appeared on Google Play Store. The listing reveals the design of the upcoming fitness tracker as well as activity tracking, watch face customization and device management within the companion app.
AndroidPolice reports that the OnePlus Health app is identical to OPPO’s HeyTap health app. The companion app is currently available as early access. OnePlus hasn’t officially announced the name of its fitness tracker yet, but the last screenshot of OnePlus Health app displays the name ‘OnePlus Band’.
The OnePlus Health app will be able to log data like heart rate, sleep, step count and other daily activities. It will also store data like movements, workout duration and more. The app’s screenshots also reveal five different clock faces. One of the screenshots also reveals the OnePlus Band’s design which is in line with the leaked render shared by tipster Mukul Sharma.
OnePlus Band specifications and features
As per the Amazon microsite, the upcoming OnePlus Band will feature a rectangular display and an IP68 water and dust resistant rating. The fitness band will pack a real-time heart rate monitor and SpO2 sensor. It will offer support for 13 exercise modes. The OnePlus Band will feature dual colour straps and arrive in three colour options. The device will be powered by a 14-day battery unit.
With the OnePlus Health app listed on Play Store and a dedicated microsite of the upcoming OnePlus Band also live on Amazon, we can expect the fitness device to debut on January 11th as previously speculated.
