OnePlus Nord 5G, Nord CE 5G receiving Jio 5G support update in India


  • Two OnePlus Nord phones are receiving Jio 5G support 
  • The Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G are already compatible with Airtel 5G
  • Both smartphones also get the October security patch

OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G are receiving Jio 5G support software updates in India. The company announced the news on its community forum. Both smartphones had debuted last year. 

The OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G already support Airtel’s 5G network. With the latest update, Reliance Jio users can also start to experience using the new cellular network on the smartphone.

OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G receiving Jio 5G support

Alongside the support for Jio 5G network connectivity, the new firmware update also brings with them the latest October 2022 security patch. The new update version is OxygenOS 12 F.16 for the Nord 5G and the firmware version is AC2001_11_F.16. It is based on Android 12 OS, however, the smartphone is yet not eligible for OxygenOS 13 which is based on Android 13. 

On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord CE 5G is receiving OyxgenOS 12 C.08 update. It has a firmware version EB2101 _11.C.08. The smartphone is also eligible for Android 13 but OnePlus plans to roll out OxygenOS 13 Beta update sometime in H1, 2023. 

The updates for both the OnePlus Nord 5G and Nord CE 5G also offer improved stability and fluidity.

To recall, 5G services were launched in India last month. Airtel 5G Plus is already available in eight cities whereas the Jio True 5G is available in four cities at the moment.
