OnePlus has finally taken the covers off its mid-range smartphone, the OnePlus Nord. The latest offering marks the brand’s comeback in the mid-range smartphone segment, nearly 5 years after the OnePlus X was launched in 2015.

Prior to the launch, OnePlus teased a few key specifications of its latest device, including the processor, display and camera details. The smartphone will compete against the likes of Realme X3 SuperZoom, OPPO Reno 3 Pro and more in India. Let’s find out what the OnePlus Nord offers out of the box.
OnePlus Nord specifications and features

The OnePlus Nord price in India starts at Rs 24,999
Beginning with the display, the OnePlus Nord features a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and dual punch-hole cutout at the top left corner for the front cameras. The back panel is home to a vertically aligned camera setup and the brand logo. Both the front and back panel are shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
In the photography department, the OnePlus Nord sports quad rear cameras comprising a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth unit. The primary sensor comes with OIS and EIS to reduce blur and hand-shake while shooting videos.
In the front, the camera cutout accommodates 32MP Sony IMX616 primary snapper paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is capable of recording up to 4K videos at 30 fps. There are various camera-related features and modes like CINE video recording, ultrashot, HDR, Nightscape, super macro, pro mode, RAW image and more.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord houses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G processor with support for 5G connectivity. The SoC is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and offers up to 256GB internal storage. The smartphone is backed by a 4,115mAh battery unit with support for Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
Software-wise, the OnePlus Nord runs on OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10. OnePlus says that its latest offering will receive 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security updates. Connectivity options on the smartphone include USB-C port, dual nano-SIM, 4×4 MIMO LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, L1+L5 dual-band GPS and NavIC.
OnePlus Nord price in India
In India, OnePlus is offering the OnePlus Nord in 6GB + 64GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. These are priced at Rs 24,999, Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. While the 6GB variant will be available in September, the other two variants will go on sale on August 4th. The colour options include Blue Marble and Gray Onyx colour options. OnePlus is offering up to Rs 2,000 off with American Express cards, and up to 6 months of no-cost EMIs with major banks. Jio benefits worth Rs 6,000 are also included.
