OnePlus is all set to launch its first mid-range smartphone in several years, the OnePlus Nord 5G in Europe and India on July 21st. The brand has already conducted the sale of the AR invitations for the device on July 11th and will start accepting pre-orders from July 15th in India. The company has also teased the design of the smartphone, and confirmed a few key specifications.
Most recently, OnePlus confirmed the camera specifications of the upcoming smartphone, and prior to that Qualcomm also confirmed the processor powering the Nord. The OnePlus Nord has also been doing the rounds of the rumour mill for a while now. So much so that not much is left to know about the phone ahead of the official launch.

OnePlus has confirmed several key specifications of the upcoming Nord through various social media posts, teasers in its New Beginnings documentary and more recently, through a video on MKBHD’s channel. In the exclusive interview on MKBHD YouTube channel, Carl Pei revealed the final design of the smartphone in two colours.
A few weeks ago, Qualcomm confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset, which will make it the second device after the Vivo X50 Pro to feature the SoC.
OnePlus also posted a story on the official Nord Instagram handle to announce its collaboration with YouTuber JerryRigEverything and dbrand to tease the teardown case for the device. The case shows the internals of the device, and reveals that the upcoming smartphone will feature 4,115mAh battery.
OnePlus has also been posting the development story of the Nord on its official forum through a series of blog posts called Heart and Passion. In part one, Shawn L, Head of Product for Nord has revealed that the phone will feature a 90Hz display and the Nord microsite on Amazon confirms that it will be an AMOLED panel.
Part 2 was posted earlier today by OnePlus Nord Imaging Director Simon Liu, and it revealed the camera setup of the upcoming device. According to the post, the vertical camera module on the upcoming smartphone will feature a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, a 5MP depth sensor, and a macro lens. The same post also reveals that the pill-shaped punch-hole cutout on the front will feature a 32MP primary lens backed by an ultra-wide camera with a 105-degree field-of-view.

Apart from the officially confirmed specs, a recently leaked spec sheet shared by Evan Blass from a Nord training presentation revealed that the phone will be offered in 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. The 90Hz AMOLED display will reportedly measure 6.44-inches and offer FHD+ screen resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Other rumoured details include 30W fast charging, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone is rumoured to be offered in Blue Marble, Gray Onyx and Gray Ash colour options.
As for the pricing, OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau has confirmed that the smartphone will be priced under $500 (~Rs 37, 470).
