OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus TV this month, and some of the key specifications of the device have now been listed on Amazon. The Amazon India landing page for OnePlus TV mentions that it will feature 55-inch QLED display, which will offer 4K resolution along with Dolby Vision. The page also reveals that the TV is equipped with eight speakers offering 50W output in total, with Dolby Atmos support for an immersive cinematic audio experience.
Pete Lau, the founder and CEO of OnePlus, had earlier revealed a blog post that OnePlus TV will be a “premium flagship” with superior image and sound quality, and an attractive design. In addition to this, the TV will also function as a smart hub to control various smart home devices. OnePlus is also expected to partner with various regional content providers in India.
In a press release, OnePlus had revealed that the TV will run on the Android TV platform, and will receive software updates for three years. It will come with built-in Chromecast, Google Assistant and the Google Play Store to download apps and games. The OnePlus TV will reportedly be powered by a MediaTek MT5670 processor with the Mali 651 GPU. OnePlus was previously expected to launch the TV on September 26th, but there is no official word on that yet.
