The OnePlus TV Camera is already listed on the official OnePlus Store for purchase. It is a Plug and Play accessory, which OnePlus TV users will need to purchase separately. OnePlus TV Camera has been launched in India for Rs 2,499
The OnePlus Plug and Play TV camera enables users to make video calls through their TV. The camera can be placed on top of the TV through its magnetic holder and is connected through a USB cable. Since it’s Plug and Play, no additional setup is required apart from installing Google Duo. The camera also comes with a manual shutter for privacy.
The OnePlus TV Camera comes with dual microphones and a noise cancellation algorithm for background noise cancellation. Moreover, the camera supports 1080p resolution for video clarity. The camera can also be used to capture photos and videos, which can be shared to your phone through the Camera app on OnePlus TVs. OnePlus will be rolling out this app to the U and Q TV series via the OTA7 update.

The OnePlus TV Camera can only be used with the U and Q TV series, since Duo is only supported on these models at present. The budget OnePlus TV Y-series isn’t compatible as of now. Here’s the list of supported models:

Setting up the OnePlus TV Camera is pretty simple. Plug in camera to your TV’s USB port and just follow the steps below to make video calls.
- Open the Play Store on your OnePlus TV
- Search for and install Google Duo
- Link the app to your OnePlus TV Camera
- Give permission to Duo to access contacts, take photos and videos, and record audio
- Login to your Google account and start video calling
