OnePlus recently confirmed that it is working on an affordable smart TV line-up. The brand has announced that it’s all set to launch two smart televisions in India on July 2nd, and reports suggest the pricing could start below Rs 20,000.

One of these TVs is tipped to be a mid-range offering, while the other will be an entry-level device. Recently, Pete Lau had teased some of the display features of the upcoming TVs. Now, OnePlus has started accepting pre-orders for the new range of TVs on Amazon, and is including an extended warranty offer as well.

OnePlus will launch two new affordable TVs in India on July 2nd and ahead of the event, the company has started accepting pre-orders for the same on Amazon. As is standard fare with OnePlus, interested buyers can pre-book the upcoming TVs by paying Rs 1,000. The pre-booking offer is already live, and will continue till July 2nd.

OnePlus has partnered with Acko to offer two years of free extended warranty on the upcoming TVs and this is what pre-booking customers are paying for. The warranty plan by Acko is priced at Rs 2,999  but with the introductory offer, you can get it for Rs 1,000. However, the extended warranty is essentially free for pre-booking customers as the amount will be returned through cashback.

Once pre-booked, the customer will receive an email confirmation and will need to purchase any of the new OnePlus TVs on Amazon before August 5th, 2020. If you purchase the new TV within the timeline, you will receive Rs 1,000 as Amazon Pay balance by August 10th.

Coming to the specifications of the new OnePlus TVs, Pete Lau revealed that both models will come with OnePlus’ ‘Cinematic Display’. The CEO also confirmed that they will come with 93 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage for vivid and high colour accuracy.

The mid-segment model will have more advanced features such as a Gamma Engine to enhance picture quality. The engine helps deliver sharper videos with a range of processing enhancements like super-resolution, dynamic resolution, MEMC, colour space mapping and noise reduction.

OnePlus also confirmed that it has worked with Dolby Labs for enhanced picture quality and the mid-segment model will feature Dolby Vision certification.
