OnePlus has announced a partnership with PUBG Mobile to bring 90fps gameplay to select smartphones in its line-up including the OnePlus 8 series. Notably, as part of this deal, users of OnePlus 7 Pro or newer models will be able to experience the 90fps PUBG Mobile gameplay exclusively for a duration of one month. OnePlus has announced that the 90fps gameplay will not be rolled out to any other smartphone before the exclusive time-period for OnePlus users end.
The Chinese version of PUBG Mobile, called Game for Peace, already supports high fps gameplay on several compatible Android smartphones. However, the global version, which is PUBG Mobile, restricts the gameplay to 60fps on all devices.
Select OnePlus phones now support 90fps PUBG Mobile gameplay
OnePlus has announced that it has partnered with PUBG Mobile to provide priority access to 90 fps gameplay for the OnePlus 7 Pro (review), OnePlus 7T (review), OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Users of these devices will enjoy the super smooth gameplay exclusively between August 6th and September 6th, 2020. OnePlus has announced that as part of this deal, no other brand or smartphone will get to experience the 90fps gameplay.
OnePlus has announced that the exclusive access to 90fps gameplay will be applicable to users worldwide, except for those in Mainland China, Japan and Korea. The 90fps high refresh rate gaming comes as an advantage while panning in game, using a scope, running, and searching for other players at a distance. These actions are crucial in live game for the player to win the battle.
Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus, said, “OnePlus is very close with our community of tech enthusiasts, so we know that mobile gamers are looking for a more immersive and smoother experience. That’s exactly what we are delivering with this exclusive 90 FPS experience with PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most downloaded mobile games.”
