Highlights

  • The listings provide a good idea about the company’s first foldables
  • While hardware info is unavailable right now, the devices are reportedly undergoing internal testing
  • OnePlus is currently prepping for the Cloud 11 hardware event scheduled to take place on February 7

Foldable smartphones have emerged into the mainstream courtesy of manufacturers like Samsung and, more recently, OPPO. A couple of trademark filings by OnePlus have now revealed the company’s intentions to get into the foldables game.

Mukul Sharma, who generally has a good track record with leaks, shared images detailing the trademark filings, shedding light on the device’s names in the process — OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip.

While these listings give us insight into the company’s naming scheme for its foldables, it doesn’t reveal if the devices are scheduled to arrive this year or in 2024. However, Sharma reveals that the OnePlus V Fold and V Flip are already undergoing internal testing in Europe.

Given that OnePlus and OPPO are owned by the same electronics giant (BBK), it’s likely that the V Fold and V Flip would resemble OPPO’s existing foldables, such as the Find N2 and Find N2 Flip.

OnePlus 11 series launching soon

The company is currently gearing up for its Cloud 11 device launch event on February 7. We expect to witness the launch of the OnePlus 11 5G and the OnePlus 11R, in addition to the company’s upcoming TWS earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

There are rumours that the OnePlus Pad could make its Indian debut during the Cloud 11 event next week. Additionally, the manufacturer is also expected to unveil the OnePlus Keyboard during the event with a price tag of Rs 9,999. As for the OnePlus 11, we’ve learned that the 12GB+256GB variant of the phone would retail for Rs 54,999 in India, while the 16GB+256GB model and the 16GB+512GB version of the phone will cost Rs 59,999 and Rs 66,999, respectively.
