[Update] As per a new tweet by Ishan Agarwal, the Bullets Wireless Z may not be truly wireless earbuds, and might be regular wireless earphones instead.
OnePlus is all set to launch its flagship 8 series smartphones including the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro on April 14th through an online event. Just yesterday, the brand went ahead and confirmed some of the key specifications of the upcoming launches including a Snapdragon 865 SoC, LPDDR5 RAM and more. Now, 91mobiles in collaboration with the popular tipster Ishan Agarwal has confirmed that the company will also launch a Warp Charge 30 fast wireless charger on April 14th. Apart from this, the tipster also claims that the company will soon launch its Truly Wireless Earphones called the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, although it’s unclear if this will be announced on the same date.
OnePlus has been slow to adopt wireless charging and had previously stated that it wanted wireless charging to be on par with its 30W Warp Charging tech. True to its word, it seems that the company has finally developed a fast wireless charger that can charge at 30W speeds. However, the tipster didn’t confirm whether the charger will come bundled with the upcoming smartphones or will be a standalone accessory to be purchased separately. Also, there’s no confirmation on what the wireless charger might look like. However, in January a Twitter tipster going by the name Max J, shared an image (seen above), with a circular disc-shaped charger and caption that read, ‘Charge Like a Pro.’ Agarwal has previously confirmed that the Pro variant will come with wireless charging support.
Coming to the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z, there was a report recently that the true wireless earbuds will not launch with the OnePlus 8 series, but with the 8T series later in the year. This is in sync with the intel provided by Agarwal, who besides confirming the name of the earphones also says that it could come very soon without specifying a timeline. As of now, based on the existing speculations, we can safely assume that the earbuds will be launched between now and the Q4 of this year. As for the earbuds itself, rumours suggest that the TWS from the brand will be based on the OPPO Enco Free Earbuds and will feature long stalks, a case with automatic connectivity and touch-based controls. 91mobiles speculates that the Bullet Wireless Z might have noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, easy pair with OnePlus phones and a fast-charging case with USB Type-C.
We will know more about the wireless charger and the Bullet Wireless Z in coming days and hopefully a confirmed launch date for the latter as well.
