Last December OnePlus CEO Pete Lau had confirmed the brand’s first smartwatch will arrive in early 2021. Now the company has teased that it will likely launch the OnePlus Watch on March 23rd alongside the OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus hasn’t revealed the official name of its smartwatch neither any key specifications.
The short video clip shared by OnePlus on its Twitter handle includes comments from users asking about its smartwatch. The captions says ‘You asked for it. You’re getting it’ which indeed hints at the upcoming smartwatch’s launch. As per the teaser, we can expect a round display and a silicone textured band.

OnePlus also shared the announcement of its upcoming smartwatch on its official forums. In the post, the brand stated, “This fresh addition to the OnePlus family is healthy, punctual and even takes care of you while you sleep”. The wordings suggest that the OnePlus Watch will come with health and fitness features along with sleep tracking. The brand is also conducting a contest where it will reward nine winners with its first smartwatch.
OnePlus Watch expected specifications and features
The upcoming OnePlus Watch has bagged various certifications. It is expected to come in two variants, one with model number W310GB and another with W501GB. As per past reports, the former could come with a square dial while the latter could feature a circular screen. The W501GB is speculated to arrive as OnePlus Watch RX.
The differences between the W310GB and W510GB variants of the OnePlus Watch are unclear at the moment but the variants are expected to differ in terms of dial sizes and support for LTE. We expect OnePlus to reveal some key details on its smartwatch leading up to the launch event.
