OPPO A16 spotted on Geekbench, key specifications revealed

OPPO A16 has appeared on benchmarking platform Geekbench. It carries the model number CPH2269. The listing reveals key specifications of the upcoming smartphone. It is expected to debut as a budget offering.

Last week, the OPPO A16 with the same model number bagged SIRIM and NBTC certifications. It has also passed FCC and BIS certifications. This hints at the smartphone’s imminent launch. The OPPO A16 will arrive as the successor to last year’s OPPO A15.

As per the Geekbench listing, the OPPO A16 scores 177 points in single-core tests and 950 points in multi-core tests. The smartphone is said to be powered by a MediaTek MT6765G processor clocked at 2.30GHz. It is expected to be the Helio P35 or Helio G35. The listing also reveals that the OPPO A16 will pack 3GB RAM and run Android 11 out of the box. 

Apart from this, the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming OPPO A16.

The SIRIM and NBTC certifications have no information on the OPPO A16. But the FCC listing revealed that the phone will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and support 10W charging. It will run ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. The device will support 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth. A schematic of the phone on FCC website shows that it will feature a rectangular camera module.
