OPPO is expected to introduce a new smartphone in its A-series. The company had recently announced A91 and A8 in its home country. Now, the company is reportedly working on a budget-friendly device dubbed as OPPO A31 with model number CPH2015. Back in December, the smartphone with the same model number was spotted on the IMDA and Indonesian certification site. The listing revealed that the device will arrive in Singapore as the OPPO A31. The alleged smartphone also received FCC certification recently. The listing reveals key specs of the phone and images of the pre-production units.
OPPO A31 specifications and features
As per the images of the pre-production unit, the OPPO A31 is expected to arrive with a waterdrop notch. The volume rocker keys are on the left side while the power button is placed on the right. The back panel houses a triple camera setup and a conventional fingerprint scanner. A 3.5mm audio jack, micro-USB port and speaker grille is located at the bottom of the device.
The listing suggests that the OPPO A31 has dimensions of 164 x 75.5mm and measures 173mm diagonally, which hints at a 6.5-inch screen size. The listing also reveals the phone will run ColorOS 6.1 but its unknown whether it will be based on Android 9 or 10. The device draws its power from a 4,000mAh battery unit that can be topped up by a 5V/2A charger.
Other details of the OPPO A31 are not known at the moment. There is no word on the launch date yet but the smartphone could be the first offering from OPPO this year.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian certification site listing revealed that the device with CPH2015 model number will be launched as the OPPO Reno S. If this turns out to be true, then the smartphone will arrive as a high-end device instead of a budget offering.
