OPPO A31 with 6.5-inch display and triple cameras launched in India, prices start at Rs 11,490

Last week, the OPPO A31 mid-range phone was announced in Indonesia. Now the same phone has gone official in India. After the OPPO F15 that debuted last month, the A31 is the second OPPO phone to debut this year in the country. The A31 offers a tall aspect ratio display, a large battery, AI powered triple cameras and big internal storage capacity. The handset has arrived with a starting price of Rs 11,490. The OPPO A31 is rebadged version of the OPPO A8 that was unveiled in China last month.

The OPPO A31 is powered by the Helio P35 chipset

The OPPO A31 smartphone sports a 6.5-inch display. The IPS LCD panel offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and 720 x 1,600 pixels HD+ resolution. According to OPPO, the phone offers a screen to body ratio of 89 percent.

The OPPO A31 is driven by the Helio P35 chipset. The phone is backed by a 4,230mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie is overlaid with ColorOS 6.1.2 UI.

The waterdrop notch on the screen of the OPPO A31 features an f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel selfie snapper.  The vertical camera system on the backside of the smartphone features an f/1.8 aperture 12-megapixel main shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens with a focal length of 4cm and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The photography features available on the device include professional mode, panorama, portrait mode, time-lapse and 30fps 4K video recording. The other features that are packed inside the A31 are rear-facing fingerprint sensor, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, microUSB, GPS and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The OPPO A31 comes in two models – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. They are priced at Rs 11,490 and Rs 13,990 respectivey. The handset comes in two colour variants like Fantasy White and Mystery Black.
