Multiple reports in the past have indicated that OPPO is planning to launch a new A series smartphone called the OPPO A31 in the near future. Ahead of the launch, the handset was recently certified by the Federal Communications Commission as well as Bluetooth SIG. The purported OPPO A31 was also spotted in the database of the benchmarking app Geekbench. Now, 91mobiles has revealed some key specifications of the handset, which suggest that the OPPO A31 will be a mid-range offering. In addition, the source has posted a render of the OPPO A31, which has revealed all details regarding its design.
OPPO A31 specifications and features
Talking about the design first, the photo has revealed that the OPPO 31 will be featuring minimal bezels on the sides and top, but there will be a slim chin at the bottom. The screen of the device will have a waterdrop notch above the screen to house the selfie camera. At the rear, the handset appears to have a triple camera module, which is placed on the top-left corner. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back, which features a gradient finish.
Moving on to the specs, the source suggests that the OPPO A31 will come with a 6.5-inch display with unspecified resolution. The phone will be powered by the octa-core MediaTek P35 processor, and will boot the Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS out of the box. Configuration-wise, the handset will come 4GB / 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of native storage.
In the optics department, the device will have a 16MP primary camera on the back, which will be paired with a 2MP secondary shooter, and a macro lens. For selfies, the handset will be fitted with an 8MP snapper. Lastly, the source indicates that the upcoming OPPO A series offering will be fuelled by a 4,230mAh battery, but there’s no word if it will support fast charging.
As of now, there’s no word regarding the pricing and availability details of the OPPO A31. However, since almost everything about the device has been leaked, the launch seems imminent.
