OPPO A33 price in India has been cut. The smartphone which was launched in India last month, is listed on Flipkart with a discount of Rs 1,000 from its launch price. After the discount, the smartphone becomes one of the most affordable devices with a display supporting 90Hz refresh rate.
The Chinese smartphone maker is the fifth largest smartphone brand in the country. It has been expanding its A-series product lineup to better compete with Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung and Vivo in the entry-level segment. OPPO A33 made its debut just days after the launch of A15. The price drop shows that OPPO is preparing to compete with leaders in the market.
OPPO A33 gets a price drop in India
To recall, OPPO A33 was launched in India at a retail price of Rs 11,999. The toned-down version of OPPO A53 is now available for Rs 10,999 on Flipkart. The smartphone has received a price cut of Rs 1,000, making it the cheapest smartphone with 90Hz display. It is cheaper than Realme 6i which made its debut as the most affordable device with 90Hz display.
It is interesting to see smartphone makers bring fast refresh rate displays to the sub-Rs 11,000 price segment. Yesterday, we saw an official confirmation from OnePlus that the Nord N100 features a 90Hz display after all. This could mean that going forward smartphone makers will have to offer high refresh rate display regardless of price point.
