OPPO A33 packs a 90Hz display and Snapdragon 460 chipset for under Rs 12,000

Recently, OPPO launched the OPPO A15 smartphone in India. Now the brand has expanded its A-series in the country with the launch of OPPO A33. The smartphone had debuted in Indonesia last month.

The OPPO A33 arrives as a slightly toned-down version of the OPPO A53 that was announced in August. The latest offering also shares the same specifications as its Indonesian counterpart. In India, it will compete against the Realme 7i, Narzo 20 (review), Redmi Note 9 (review) and others in the sub-Rs 15k price segment.

The OPPO A33 is a slightly toned-down variant of the OPPO A53

The OPPO A33 sports a 6.5-inch punch-hole display bearing an HD+ resolution. It offers a 90Hz refresh rate screen and up to 120Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is equipped with dual-speakers paired with Dirac 2.0 sound technology. Design-wise, the back panel houses a conventional fingerprint scanner and a rectangular camera module. 

The OPPO A33 features a triple camera setup comprising of a 13MP main sensor, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth unit. The punch-hole cutout on the front accommodates an 8MP selfie snapper. 

The OPPO A33 is powered by a Snapdragon 460 processor under the hood. It is paired with 3GB RAM and the device offers 32GB internal storage. There is a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB. The smartphone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging via USB-C port. Software-wise, the OPPO A33 ships with ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10. 

Connectivity options on the OPPO A33 include WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE and 3.5mm headphone jack. 

OPPO A33 price in India

The OPPO A33 is priced at Rs 11,990 and offered in Moonlight Black and Mint Green colours. It will be available for purchase across online and offline channels starting this month.
