The OPPO A36 has been launched in China. It is the company’s first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 680 chipset. It’s a 4G LTE phone that comes with an attractive design, which features a punch-hole display on the front and a dual-camera system on the back.
The A36 offers users a 90Hz display, a 13-megapixel dual-camera unit for photography. and a big battery. The device has arrived as the successor for the OPPO A35, which debuted with the Helio P35 chip back in August last year.
OPPO A36 specifications and features
The OPPO A36 has an IPS LCD display that measures 6.56-inches and offers an 89.9 percent screen space. It supports an HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 480 nits of brightness, and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera for capturing selfies, and its back panel has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro snapper.
The OPPO A36 is equipped with the Snapdragon 680 chipset. It comes in a single model that offers 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of built-in UFS 2.2 storage. The device ships with ColorOS 11.1 based Android 11 OS. For security, it is fitted with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
The device is packed with a 5,000mAh battery, which only supports 10W charging. The other specs that are available on the device include dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a microSD card slot, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs around 185 grams.
OPPO A36 pricing and availablity
The OPPO A36 has arrived with a price tag of RMB 1,499 (~Rs 17,450). It comes in Mist Black and Qingchuan Blue colours. It is unclear whether OPPO will be announcing the A36 in India.
