OPPO has introduced another permanent price cut for its OPPO A5 2020 smartphone in India. The phone will now be sold with a discount of up to Rs 1,000. The 4GB RAM variant of this device will now sell for Rs 12,990 against its previous price tag of Rs 13,990. The smaller variant with 3GB RAM will sell for Rs 11,490 instead of Rs 11,990. This price cut will be valid across all Indian retail stores from January 1st. Furthermore, the device’s 6GB RAM variant was announced on December 30th. The increased RAM is supported by a 128GB internal memory and it is priced at Rs 14,990.

For the uninitiated, it’d be wise to recount the specifications of the OPPO A5 2020. The device plays host to a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 700 x 1,600 pixels. It also boasts of a Gorilla Glass 3+ protection and a waterdrop notch. For performance, it relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The SoC is further supported by the Adreno 610 GPU.
The OPPO A5 2020 features a quad camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor and an aperture of f/1.8. It is supported by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP monochrome sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the device houses an 8MP selfie snapper placed inside the waterdrop notch. Furthermore, the phone depends on a 5,000mAh battery unit and Dolby Atmos-powered speakers. For connectivity, the device houses support for 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB OTG, and A-GPS with GLONASS. The handset is available in two shades – Dazzling White and Mirror Black.
