OPPO A55s 5G has been launched in Japan. The company announced the OPPO A55 5G back in January this year. Now, it has unveiled an updated version of the device with the A55s moniker.
The A55s sports a punch-hole display on the front and a rectangle-shaped camera module on the back. One of the major highlights of the affordable device is that it comes with an IP68 rated chassis. It offers key features like a 90Hz display, Snapdragon 4-series chip, 13-megapixel dual cameras, and a large battery. The OPPO A55s 5G has a 6.5-inch LCD LTPS display that delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 500 nits peak brightness. The punch-hole display offers a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Snapdragon 480 chip is present under the hood of the OPPO A55s. It ships with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 64GB of UFS 2.0 storage, and a microSD card slot for additional storage. It runs on ColorOS 11 based on Android 11.
The A55s has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. Its back panel features a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. The device carries support for EIS and 1080p video shooting at 30fps.

The OPPO A55s is priced at JPY 33,800 (~Rs 21,950) in Japan. It comes in Black and Green colours. At present, there is no word on the India launch of the device.
