Oppo has expanded its mid-ranged ‘A Series’ in China with the Oppo A57 selfie smartphone. Recently, the company introduced an upgraded variant of its F1s smartphone which costs Rs 18,990 in India. It isn’t known at this moment if or when Oppo will launch this phone in India. However, considering that Oppo A37 currently retails at Rs 10,999 in India, we’re hoping for the Oppo A57 to arrive in the future.
To begin with, the Oppo A57 comes with a 5.2-inch screen featuring 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution and 2.5D curved glass display on top. The smartphone embraces an Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and Adreno 505 GPU for graphics. It comprises 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB with microSD.
The Oppo A57 is a hybrid dual-SIM handset with two nano SIM slots, running ColorOS 3.0 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. On the camera front, the device houses a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and LED Flash. For selfie lovers, there is a whopping 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
The smartphone features a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button. In terms of connectivity, it comes supported by all the standard options such as VoLTE, which makes it fully compatible with Reliance Jio network. Other than that, there is also support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The device also packs in a 2900mAh battery.
Available in Gold and Rose Gold colour options, the Oppo A57 is priced at 1599 Yuan in China (approximately Rs 15,999). The sale starts in China from December 12th.
