The OPPO A-series has been quite successful in India, with devices like the OPPO A3s, A5 and A7 being popular picks in the affordable segment. Now it seems that the company is gearing up to launch a new A-series phone in the country. OPPO has announced the launch of the A5s on its Twitter handle. The OPPO A5s is an enhanced variant of the OPPO A5, and comes with some key features like a waterdrop display and 4,230mAh battery. It was announced globally last month. Ahead of the launch, we’ve obtained some hands-on images of the device. We’ve also learned that the OPPO A5s will be priced below Rs 10,000, which is among the hottest-selling price slabs in India.

The real life images of the phone reveal a waterdrop screen with slim bezels all around. At the back, the phone features a glossy black finish. Dual cameras, an LED flash and an oval-shaped fingerprint sensor are also visible.
To recap on the specs, the OPPO A5s could feature a 6.2-inch HD+ display and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device may be powered by a powerful MediaTek processor a first in its budget category. The device may come is a few RAM and storage options, however it is unclear if the company may launch all the variants together. The device is also equipped with a microSD card slot for expansion up storage. The phone features a good dual rear camera setup which may come with AI Beautification technology. As per the official announcement on Twitter, the battery on board is a massive 4,230mAh unit which is a great plus for all users. With a price tag below Rs 10,000, the device is looking like an attractive option in the budget segment.
