Having launched its flagship smartphones from the Reno and Find X series this year, OPPO is now focussing on its mid-range A-series. Earlier today, the brand silently listed the much-anticipated OPPO A92s with 120Hz display and MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC with 5G modem on its official website in China. Now, we have spotted yet another A-series smartphone called the OPPO A72 on the Google Play Console. We can safely assume that the upcoming smartphone will sit right below the A92s that was launched today. The handset was recently spotted on the website of Bluetooth SIG as well as the FCC with the model number CPH2067. Let’s see what the Google Play Console listing of the handset reveals.
OPPO A72 key specifications listed on Google Play Console
Unfortunately, the Google Play Console listing of the OPPO A72 is missing the render of the device, and hence we have no insight on the design yet. However, the listing reveals that the smartphone will come with the Snapdragon 665 SoC, which is the same processor that powers the OPPO A9 2020 (first impressions), which was launched last year as well as the Redmi Note 8 (review). The processor is seen backed by 4GB RAM but we can expect the OPPO to launch more variants of the device. The listing also reveals that the smartphone will flaunt a full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixel but there’s no mention of the size. Lastly, the smartphone will boot Android 10 out of the box with OPPO’s ColorOS on top.
OPPO A72 specifications and features (rumoured)
The FCC listing earlier had revealed that smartphone will run the latest ColorOS 7.1. The leak also mentioned that the smartphone will feature a 5,000mAh battery and dual-SIM connectivity. Prior to that, the Bluetooth SIG listing had revealed that the phone will have Bluetooth 5.0. As of now, this is all that is known about the upcoming smartphone.
