OPPO has been on a non-stop launching spree across the world. The company recently launched three OPPO A-series smartphones called the A92s, A52 and A12. Pricebaba had spotted another A-series smartphone called the OPPO A72 on the Google Play Console listing recently. The smartphone which comes in as a successor to the OPPO A71 has now gone official in its home market of China. The mid-range offering comes flaunting a punch-hole display, Snapdragon 665, 5,000mAh battery and 48MP quad cameras as its highlights. OPPO A72 specifications and features
The OPPO A72 ships with a 6.5-inch punch-hole display featuring full HD+ screen resolution. Ticking at the core of the handset is the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage onboard, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. In the camera department, the smartphone flaunts a rectangular island on the back housing a quad-camera setup. The camera module comprises of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The single punch-hole cutout on the front houses a 16MP shooter for selfies.
On the software front, the latest launch boots the Android 10-based ColorOS 7.1. Powering the handset is a beefy 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. For security, the OPPO A72 offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button on the right. The smartphone also sports a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom along with a USB-C port. Other connectivity options remain standard including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and more.

Unfortunately, OPPO has not announced the pricing and the availability of the A72 yet. The handset is expected to make its global debut in Europe soon with the OPPO A52 in tow, we will know pricing details then.
