Oppo A75 and A75s Launched with 6-inch Bezel-less Displays

On: December 26, 2017

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched two new smartphones in Taiwan, the A75 and the A75s. Both of them come with bezel-less displays, keeping up with the current smartphone trend. These phones are available only in Taiwan as of now and Oppo hasn’t announced the launch dates for any other market.

The Oppo A75 and the A75s both have similar specifications on every front, except internal storage. It is strange that Oppo has decided to name these phones differently as opposed to just launching separate variants of the same phone. Let’s take a look at the features and specifications of both the phones.

Design and Display

As mentioned earlier, both phones come with bezel-less displays which also add up to its overall design. They are available in two different colours: Champagne Gold and Black. The devices sport a 6-inch Full HD+ display with an LCD panel. It has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and shall aid in a better multimedia experience.

Oppo is known for making phones with excellent selfie cameras and these ones are no exception. They come with a 20-megapixel front camera that lets you capture selfies and make video calls. On the rear, there’s a 16-megapixel camera on this phone that is accompanied with an LED flash for better low-light pictures.

Performance, Storage and Operating System

To power the phones, there’s a MediaTek Helio P23 processor fitted inside them. They also have 4GB of RAM to allow multi-tasking. Coming to the storage, this is where both phones differ from each other. The Oppo A75 comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage whereas the A75S comes with 64GB of storage. Storage in both the phones can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. In terms of operating system, they run on Color OS 3.2 built on top of Android 7.1 Nougat.

Battery and Connectivity

The Oppo A75 and A75s come with a battery pack of 3200mAh which shall be sufficient for a day with normal usage. It has all the common connectivity options including WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB OTG support.

The Oppo A75 is priced at TWD 10,990 (~ Rs. 23,506) whereas the Oppo A75s costs TWD 11,990 (~ Rs. 24,850). Although there is no official word about its India launch as of yet, we can expect it to launch early next year in the country.
