OPPO A76 has been launched in Malaysia. It is a 4G LTE phone that has arrived as a successor for last year’s OPPO A74. The A76 features a large-sized display with a punch-hole design on the front. It features a dual-camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The predecessor model featured a 60Hz AMOLED display, but the A76 comes with a larger LCD panel that offers a higher refresh rate. The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 6-series chipset. The OPPO A76 has a 6.56-inch LCD display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,612 pixels, 269ppi pixel density, 480 nits of brightness, 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. OPPO claims that the device offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89.9 percent.
The rear side of the A76 features a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel bokeh lens, and an LED flash. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel camera. The A76 has downgraded cameras as compared to the predecessor model, which offered 48-megapixel triple cameras and a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
The A76 is fuelled by the Snapdragon 680 chipset. The device ships with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The A76 comes preinstalled with Android 11 OS with ColorOS 11.1 UI on top. The device is equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It offers connectivity features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The OPPO A76 is priced at RM 899 (~Rs 16,000) in Malaysia. The device comes in Glowing Black and Glowing Blue colours. Since the device has been approved by the BIS authority, it is expected to launch soon in India.
