Last October, OPPO had launched the OPPO A93 smartphone in its home country. It debuted as a rebranded version of the OPPO F17 Pro. Now, the Chinese brand has launched the 5G version of the device dubbed as OPPO A93 5G.

The OPPO A93 5G is a new smartphone and not a rebranded version like its 4G variant. The latest offering features a new design and different internals. Let’s take a look at what the smartphone offers out of the box.

The OPPO A93 5G is powered by affordable Snapdragon 480 SoC with 5G support

The OPPO A93 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner. The smartphone comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a rectangular rear camera module.

On the imaging front, the OPPO A93 5G sports a triple camera setup comprising of 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP portrait unit. On the front, the device is fitted with an 8MP selfie snapper.

Internally, the OPPO A93 5G is powered by the recently launched Snapdragon 480 5G chipset. It supports dual-mode 5G connectivity. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB native storage that is expandable via a microSD card slot. The smartphone is equipped with triple cooling system for heat dissipation.

The OPPO A93 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. Software-wise, the OPPO A93 5G runs on ColorOS 11 based on the latest Android 11. Connectivity options on the device include Type-C port, 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.

OPPO A93 5G pricing and availability

The OPPO A93 5G carries a starting price tag of RMB 1,999 (~Rs 22,970) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The price of 8GB + 256GB option is not revealed yet. The smartphone is up for pre-orders in China. It’s unknown if the device will make its way to India.
