OPPO is gearing up to unveil its F19 Pro series in India on March 8th at 7pm. Now the brand has confirmed that it is launching its first fitness band in the country. The upcoming offering is OPPO Band Style and it will be offered in two variants.
OPPO’s first fitness tracker also seems like a rebranded version of the OPPO Band and OPPO Band Fashion that debuted in China last June. The company has confirmed a few key specifications of the Indian variant.
The OPPO Band Style is confirmed to come with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display. There will be two variants i.e. one with a black silicone strap and another with a floating strap featuring a metal ring. The upcoming wearable device will feature a SpO2 sensor. It will offer 12 workout modes including running, walking, cycling, swimming, badminton and more.
The OPPO Band Style is also confirmed to be available for purchase from Amazon in India.
OPPO Band Style specifications and pricing
Apart from the confirmed specifications, we expect the Indian variant to be the same as its Chinese counterpart. The OPPO Band Style offers a 100 percent P3 colour gamut and over 160 watch faces. The device is 5ATM water-resistant.
The OPPO Band is powered by Apollo 3 chip which is also found on OPPO Watch. It is compatible with devices running Android 6+ and iOS 10 or above via Bluetooth. The fitness tracker comes with common features like app notifications, music control, weather alerts etc.
The OPPO Band is backed by a 100mAh battery unit that is said to last up to 14 days on a single charge.
In China, the standard OPPO Band costs RMB 199 (~Rs 2,122) while the OPPO Band Fashion is priced at RMB 249 (~Rs 2,656). We will know about the India pricing and availability on March 8th.
