OPPO Enco Air 3 TWS earbuds have leaked as India launch nears

Highlights

  • OPPO is likely to release the new earbuds in the January/December timeframe
  • The successor would arrive just under a year following the launch of the Enco Air 2 earbuds
  • While most of the hardware is a mystery, we expect OPPO to retain a bulk of the software features on the new earbuds

In addition to its diverse portfolio of smartphones, OPPO is also known for its audio accessories, particularly the wide range of TWS earbuds. The company released the Enco Air 2 earlier this year, and OPPO is already gearing up to release a successor, named the OPPO Enco Air 3.

The Enco Air 3 has made its way to SIRIM and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification databases, carrying the model number ETE31. Furthermore, these listings also confirm that these earbuds will indeed be known as the Enco Air 3. However, as 91Mobiles points out, this is the extent of the information we have right now on these upcoming TWS earbuds.

Often a reliable source of device leaks, Mukul Sharma, claims that these earbuds are already being tested in India and other markets in Asia. Sharma goes on to mention that the Enco Air 3 may break cover by January or February in colour options such as White and Black/Blue.

Rumoured specs and price of the OPPO Enco Air 3 TWS earbuds

Based on the hardware of the predecessor, it’s safe to assume that the Enco Air 3 will retain most of its hardware specifications, including but not limited to Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity and a battery life of at least four hours individually and 24 hours with the charging case. IPX4 certification for splash resistance is also expected to be included, while we’re also likely to see some of the software features included with the Enco Air 2 earlier this year.

Dedicated music modes should also be included, while the innovative touch controls may come back with the new model. We’ll keep our ear to the ground for any further information on OPPO’s latest flagship earbuds. Although the price tag remains a mystery at this point, the manufacturer will likely debut the Enco Air 3 for Rs 2,499, much like its predecessor back in March.
