OPPO F15 with quad cameras and in-display fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs 19,990

OPPO has announced the all new OPPO F15 smartphone in India today. The device is the successor to the OPPO F11 series from last year. The OPPO F15 comes with notable features such as gradient coloured chassis, 20:9 aspect ratio display, AI powered 48-megapixel quad cameras, VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 and in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset is the rebranded version of the OPPO A91 smartphone that was unveiled in December in China.

OPPO F15 specifications and features

The OPPO F15 comes with a slim and lightweight chassis as it measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 172 grams. The handset is fitted with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen that is shielded by Gorilla Glass 5. The display produces full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and is integrated with an in-display fingerprint scanner that can unlock the device in just 0.32 seconds. The in-display fingerprint scanner is equipped with hardware-based anti-forging technology which assists in reinforcing security on the device. The TUV Rheinland-certified screen protects the eyes of the user from fatigue by filtering harmful blue rays. The F15 also supports Screen Dimming 2.0. The company claims that the F15 offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent.

The MediaTek Helio P70 is present under the hood of the device. The SoC is coupled with 8GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128GB. A dedicated microSD card slot is available on the phone for additional storage.

The OPPO F15 features an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel selfie camera. The rear side of the device has a vertically arranged quad camera setup. It includes a 48-megapixel main lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultrawide angle lens with a 119-degree field-of-view, a 2-megapixel mono lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The ultrawide sensor can also double up as a macro lens with a focal length of 3cm. There is AI video beautification that can optimise facial features and skin tones in videos captured through both the front and rear cameras. The smartphone inherits the EIS anti-shake technology from the Reno series to capture stable videos. Other photography features available on the F15 include night portrait mode and bokeh mode.

Android 9 Pie coupled with ColorOS 6.1.2 comes preloaded on the OPPO F15. It comes with Game Boost 2.0 that enhances performance while playing games. Other gaming related features available on the F15 include gaming voice changer and in-game noise cancelling effects. The F1 is a Widevine L1-certified which allows users to watch full HD content on YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

The OPPO F15 handset is backed by a 4,025mAh battery. The 20W VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 lets the smartphone gain 50 percent battery power by charging it for only 30 minutes. The connectivity features available on the device include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack.

OPPO F15 price in India

The OPPO F15 has arrived in India with a price tag of Rs 19,990. It comes in two colour options such as Lightning Black and Unicorn White. The phone is now available to pre-order, and the first sale will be held on January 24th via Flipkart, Amazon and OPPO’s website. OPPO is also offering a one-time screen replacement with the device, as well as 10 percent cashback for HDFC debit and credit card EMI purchases.
