At an event in New Delhi today, the Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo has finally launched its latest smartphone Oppo F3 Plus in India. Oppo is known for its deep roots in offline channels, thus capturing a significant market share in Indian smartphone industry. Oppo F3 Plus is the company’s first dual selfies smartphone. The company has targeted the device towards younger generation with a complete focus of selfie camera. Another Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has already launched V5 Plus recently which also featured dual selfies camera setup.
Coming to the specs, the Oppo F3 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display also gets 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 653 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. As of now, Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is the only phone available in the market which is powered by the same chipset. The device packs in a 64GB of internal storage which is expected to further expandable with a MicroSD card.
On camera department, the Oppo F3 Plus features a standard single lens 16-megapixel rear camera but a dual selfie camera setup. On the front, it sports a 16-megapixel along with an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle lens camera. The company is promoting this dual selfie camera setup as “One for Selfie, One for Group Selfie. The device will be powered by a massive 4000mAh battery. It also comes with OPPO-designed VOOC Flash Charge Solution which company claims that could provide 2 hours of talk time with just 5-minute charging. It runs on ColorOS 3.0 built on the top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Oppo F3 Plus also flaunts a fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button. It is a dual SIM phone and supports 4G VoLTE. The Company has priced it at Rs 30,990 which sounds a bit overpriced as its competitor Vivo V5 Plus comes at much lower price of Rs 25,000.
