Oppo will reportedly release its high-end flagship smartphone — Oppo Find 9 — this year, reports suggest. If these reports are true, we will (finally) see Oppo returning to the high-end flagship market. Interestingly, the company hasn’t come out with any flagship device after Oppo Find 7, back in 2014. Last year witnessed the company’s expansion into the budget and mid-range segment with phones like Oppo F1, Oppo F1s, and Oppo F1 Plus, etc. This year, however, Oppo is likely to spread its wings in order to reach the high-end segment.
Now, images and details of the upcoming Oppo flagship smartphone — allegedly Oppo Find 9 — have been leaked online. The images suggest that the device flaunts a bezel-less display upon looking at the sides. Some of the key specifications point out that it will come in two variants. The first variant will feature 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and Snapdragon 653 chip. The second variant will be based on 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, and Snapdragon 835 processor. The device is rumoured to arrive in the first half of 2017 powered by a new AI system called Find OS.
In other news, we can now confirm from our sources that Oppo A39 will be available in India starting this month for Rs 12,999. It sports a 5.2-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Inside are an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chip, 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage. It houses a 13MP primary camera on the back with LED flash. It also features a 5MP secondary camera up front for selfies. The dual SIM device is based on 2,900mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Color OS 3.0 on top.
